Building community for the girls
SakuBloom was born from the lack of visibility in hobby spaces.
We spent years looking for other Black women in the spaces built around the things we love, and rarely finding them. So instead of waiting for that space to exist, we decided to build it ourselves.
you found your people
SakuBloom exists because we were tired of scrolling past hobby spaces that didn’t feel like home. No gatekeeping, just girls who love what they love.
we see you
Black women and POC have always loved hobbies but we haven’t always been in the room when people talk about it. We are here to change that, one post at a time, by putting our voices and faces front and center.
real girls, real takes
Every post here comes from someone who’s actually knee deep in the hobby, whether that’s a twenty plant collection or a kdrama watchlist that needs its own spreadsheet.
hobbies aren’t extra or weird
Somewhere along the way, women got told hobbies were selfish or extra. We’re here to say otherwise. Whatever you’re into, it’s allowed to take up space in your life, and we want to help you find it.
